Letters, 1804.

Items are both addressed to Charles Parr Burney, son of Edward's cousin Charles Burney (1757-1817). The first letter (dated as having been received on September 1, 1804) contains an ink drawing on the reverse, showing "Mr [William] Sanford's pedigree" which Burney begins with the god Apollo (with many of the intervening names purposefully obscured by a cloud). The second letter (dated as having been received on September 29, 1804) makes references to the younger Burney's presence at Oxford and contains sketches of different bust-pedestals.
